My friend fears for his life?
Recently, this person shot up his car with an airsoft rifle and a painball gun, he is filing vandalism and getting a restraining order, but he knows this person to be violent, he feels that he will retaliate anyway, and attempt to hurt him, i asked if he feared for himself, and he said yes, is there anything he can do to get away from him?
He could hire a body guard, move out of town, wear a suit of armor, or figure out how to become invisible on command.
Jocularity aside, it sounds like he has taken all of the correct legal steps. However, if the guy intends to assault him, a restraining order can't physically prevent it. If it's any consolation to your friend, even if he is assaulted, he can minimize his injuries by facing up to his fears and fighting back. I hope it's not necessary, but sometimes it can't be prevented.
