Projecting the wrong image to people?
Im a straight 18 year old guy. I mix and match different "looks", which I like to do, but I sometimes worry that people are confused by me. For example, I kinda like to dye my hair (I've done bleached and black) and have it in a short messy look, but don't dress in punk clothes or anything. I generally wear jeans and a half buttoned collared shirt. I also hunt (sorry if you don't like that haha) and it really confuses people when a kid with bleached hair is walking around in a camo hat or something. LIke I said people can think what they want, but I'd like to not totally drive people, girls especially, away (I've been dying my hair off and on for 2 years and haven't had a girlfriend in that period). Any thoughts? Thanks.
I think even if not everybody "gets" your style it shouldn't be off putting in any way. Personally I think you sound pretty cool, I think it's awesome when guys have their own personal style and don't see it as something effeminate. Really, just keep doing what you like and keeping it real, the people who really matter will stick around with you.
