Which is warmer, Under Armour or Nike dri fit?
My sons want some Under Armour to wear under their shirts on cold days. One will be wearing it for football too, but they both also want it for even when not exercising. I'm thinking of getting them the "fitted" UA mock which has a soft cotton lining vs the compression which didn't feel as nice.
The woman in the store said she prefers Nike. She said the dri fit technology will be permanently removed from the UA if you forget and put fabric softener in the wash. She said if u do that to the Nike you can just wash it off the next time.
Does anyone have both to answer the question on which one is warmer or better?
I work for a major sporting goods retailer, here's the scoop on all of this with no BS.
The UA will lose it's ability to wick sweat- you called it "dri fit" -as soon as you wash it one time. No joke. That happens with ALL UA product! They make horrible product people! it's a rip off with cool commercials.
Get the fitted version. They will be able to do more things with it than the compressive one. Under shirts, they can work out and play football in them.
At the minimum get the Nike one. If you really want to keep them warm - find the adidas TechFit with ClimaWarm. I gave one a try last year - and it is awesome. Even bought a new one last week since I ended up wearing the other one so much.
