what kind of hunting suit should i get?
I am a deer hunter in Ohio and i want a good hunting suit but dont know what to get i want something warm i was thinking of a 3D sent lok suit but dont know much about them my budget is about 250 dollars for the suit any suggestions?
How about something warm yet bright in color to lessen your chances of being shot at.
Deer focus on motion, smell and sound. By nature deer are color blind so trying to make yourself 'invisible' to them is pretty much useless as far as clothing is concerned. I can see no viable reason why you would want to spend $250 on a suit when there are scent neutralizers readily available at most hunters retail outlets for roughly $10 to $15 (maybe a little more) a bottle and work just as well if not better. One of these little bottles will see you through the season, perhaps more than one if used as per instruction.
This country is full of Dick Chenys - they shoot first then wonder what they just shot at. "Oops, better hide this one"., "I heard a sound". or "I didn't know anyone was there"., or is it "Those hikers weren't supposed to be there". "I thought I saw something"., here's two cute classics: "I tripped and it went off". and "I leaned it on a rock, it fell over and then it went off".
My advice is this: Be just as 'lit up' as you can get, Dick Cheny is out there.
