What do you think of this poem?
And how could I change it? (It is not based on personal experience or friends personal experience I just felt like writing a poem). I am 13 and getting a bit into poetry, I hope you like it and no harsh comments please I will report. The poem is called "The Hitchhiker"
She stands by the road
Desperate and cold
She looks an awful sight
Alone in the night
She puts out her thumb
As along a car comes
But it carries on driving
With the shelter its depriving
The wind mercylessyly blows
Making her shiver through her thin cloths
Another car comes, the driver offers her a ride
But she does not trust him
Or the look in his eyes
She runs down the road
Still cold and alone
Until she seeks solice
Under the trees of a forest
She stays there all night
Her coat wrapped round tight
All night she shakes
Until the dawn breaks
I don't know who she is or what happened to her
But this poem will know her as the hitchhiker.
My daughter is 13 and also writes poetry
I like this for someone of your age to show empathy and tell the story is very good
