Florida Softshell With Slight Shell Rot?
I have a small Florida Soft Shell turtle that is about 2 years old. I accidentally scratched his shell about two weeks ago when I picked him up to inspect his shell and it is getting larger. I feel like such an idiot because I know that a simple scratch can kill them if it gets infected. I have treated him with acroflavine and his water has 1 Tsp of salt per gallon. He is in a 150 gallon aquarium by himself with 4 filters, so his water is immaculate. All water levels are good. I sand vac about twice a week. Any other suggestions, I don't want him to die. Any help would be much appreciated.
It sounds to me like you've done everything you can possibly do.
