Navy Work Uniform/Blue Digital Camo..?
Ever since these were issued, the uniform shop has been booked up and down to get the tailoring done. So far, I have been receiving a mix feedback on it's usage and longevity. What I have been noticing a lot is that a lot of people come back to return them because the seams seem to tear easily and the buttons come apart quite quickly. I honestly don't see the reason of wear these new cammies. The idea of blending with the water and falling over aboard and making it more difficult search for you seems insane.. What do ya'll think? I work at a uniform shop and now we're getting a lot of hems done for the E-6 and below for the Khaki tops and Navy blue bottoms..A lot of chiefs aren't too happy about that. haha
I'm not in the Navy but I was reading about the different uniforms they were testing (I didn't believe it when I first saw pictures of the blue digipats, so I had to look it up, lol).
When I told my friend (who is in the Marines) that the new uniforms proposed enlisted wearing "brass" ranks on their colors, he was mad because he said he has enough trouble with Navy ranks as it is, lol.
I also thought it was funny that in the FAQ section, someone asked "Why are we trying to look like Marines?"
