Remington .223 in an A4?
What do u think about getting a Remington .223 Police version and taking it out of its factory stock and dropping it in a mil-spec McMillan A4 tactical stock? Its only about $1000 compared to $6000 for the real USMC one. And I already got a Savage .30-06 for hunting. Tell me what ya think!
Sorry, but I realize question was in Hunting category. What I mean is that I'm not looking for gun to hunt with, but more of a homemade USMC sniper rifle to hit targets with.
For your $1000 I think you would be better served by a rifle from either Bushmaster, DPMS or Stag Arms. I have personally used rifles from these firms and found them all to be more than satisfactory. As matter of fact, I am currently shopping for a new Stag Arms rifle. If you run across a model M6L, let me know.
