Spring Turkey Hunting Cold Wet Feet?
I like to hunt Spring Turkeys in Kansas and the grass in the fields either has frost or dew on it. I walk through the field to my spot then sit and wait. My feet start to get cold during the walk and then when I sit down it gets worse because I'm not moving and they really start to hurt. I have had to leave hunts because it hurt to much. I have waterproof leather boots, good moisture wicking socks, and waterproof hunting pants. Do I need to get different boots, socks, pants, etc? Or are cold painful feet just a fact of life in hunting?
You need waterproof boots and some gaitors. Use boots and gaitors or water resistant pants how ever tall the grass is. Cabela's sell these products. Look in the hunting and waterfowl section.
